At AFTH, we work hard to dispel that myth. The reality is that once approved, prospective parents are typically matched with their child within a year and financial assistance is available.

Our experienced adoption team is ready to help you take the next steps. Together, we guide you through the process, help you navigate the police and child abuse background checks, find financial assistance, complete a home study, and then finally, help you make your profile. This profile will be part of our database and will be available for pregnant women to review.

This is an emotional process and since we understand how exciting and stressful this time can be, we also encourage prospective parents to take part in our support groups.

Once an adoption has occurred, we continue to provide support to both parents and adoptee and we are excited to offer ongoing support to adoptees for the rest of their lives.

For pregnant women who are looking to find the right adoptive family, we offer many services free of charge both before and after the adoption.

From the very beginning, we work to get the medical care needed for both mother and child. If you don’t have insurance, we will work with you to get insurance coverage and then we will handle all of the paperwork. If insurance isn’t an option, our agency will cover your medical expenses.

Birth mothers are encouraged to take part in our supportive counseling which is available 24 / 7. This counseling is available to you at no cost even after the baby is placed for as long as you need it.

Our team will help you find the legal assistance that you need so that you can be fully aware of all of your legal rights as a birth parent and can have all of your legal questions answered.
