2026’s Annual Family Picnic 

Adoption From The Heart’s Annual Family Picnic is coming up fast! This year, on June 14th, will be the 36th Annual Picnic for AFTH. Every year, the Annual Picnic has been a great time for families to join together and celebrate the impact of adoption. This year’s picnic is shaping up to be another wonderful celebration, and we are excited to invite everyone to join our picnic.  

Lukens Park Family Picnic 

Everyone’s Playground at Lukens Park (540 Dresher Road, Horsham, PA, 19044) will once again be where we are hosting our picnic for our Wynnewood, New Jersey, Allentown, Central PA, and Delaware locations. The picnic will be held from 11 AM to 2PM with food and lots of fun activities.  

AFTH will once again have a food tent where families can get lunch and ice cream. We will also have a professional photographer to do family portraits. AFTH families can get a free lunch, ice cream, and family portrait if they RSVP here. We will have a kids activity zone featuring gaga ball, soccer darts, axe throwing, football toss, and face painting. You can purchase tickets to all these fun activities at the AFTH ticket tent. Additionally, there will be a kids’ craft table and family activities like a three-legged race and sack races.  

Heart & Soul’d will have a thrifting booth featuring a variety of new and lightly used items. Heart & Soul’s owners, Kristen and Terry, both adopted their daughters through AFTHH. They use proceeds from their business to donate (mission match) to nonprofits that help support adoption and foster services around Delaware County, Pennsylvania. We are proud to be one of the organizations they mission match.  

Some of the other activities you can look forward to, include, a raffle with a chance to win an autographed and framed photo of Jason Kelce and Phanatic hugging; Hurts, Barkley, and DeJean framed cards; Slomoo (slime experience) tickets; family book baskets with books from adoption authors; and much more! DJ Rambo will be joining us for music. We will have a 360 photo booth. And Amanda’s Amazing Treats will be selling food.  

Elizabeth Park 

Our Connecticut office will be hosting its picnic at Elizabeth Park (1555 Asylum Ave., West Hartford, CT 06117), June 14th from 12 PM to 3 PM. We will meet outside Pond House Cafe, please be sure to RSVP to AlyseW@afth.org by June 5th and bring a picnic lunch.  

Chesapeake City Park Fun Forest 

Our Virginia office will be hosting its picnic at Chesapeake City Park Fun Forest (900 City Park Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320). Their picnic will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, June 6th. Please be sure to pack a lunch; there will be grills available for families to use.
