Children Never Go To Foster Care
Have you made the wonderful choice to adopt a child? Are you interested in adopting an infant but are concerned that you won’t be able to in the United States? You may have heard rumors like “It’s too expensive.” or “You’ll never get a child – there aren’t enough babies for adoption.” or even, “It takes decades to get an infant.” We’re here to tell you that these rumors aren’t true.
The reality is that nearly 18,000 infants are adopted in the U.S. each year and most prospective parents are matched with their new family member within a year. As for the expenses – typically, domestic adoption costs the same as international adoption.
If you decide to work with the adoption professionals at Adoptions From The Heart, we will assist you with your home study, with preparing for the arrival of your new family member, creating a family profile for birth mothers to review, and with helping you find legal and financial resources. Support groups are available to you for as long as you need.
For those who live in Central PA, our office is located near Harrisburg in Lancaster. We invite you to contact us to learn more about domestic adoption, our agency, and how our adoption team can help you.

We Can Help You Get Medical Care For You And Your Baby
Are you pregnant and unsure of which option is best for you? At Adoptions From The Heart, we are here for you. We are happy to go over all options in detail, regardless of the decision that you make.
For those who are ready to pursue domestic adoption, we can help you get the medical care you and your child need, assist you in finding housing, help you with paperwork, connect you with legal representation, help you create a birth and hospital plan, and, if you wish, help you decide which family your child will be adopted by.
We provide you with access to a database of approved and waiting families who have committed to the possibility of open adoption. This means that you get to chose the level of contact that you will have with them in the future. This might include letters, phone calls, photograph exchanges, and even visits. If you don’t want to have any contact, that can be arranged as well.
A counselor will be assigned to you, someone who will be by your side throughout the entire adoption process. They can assist you with filing out paperwork, making doctors appointments, and helping you find a support group.
We continue to support you even after the adoption has taken place, for as long as you need.
We encourage you to call us with your questions. Our office is located in Central Pennsylvania, in Lancaster.
