Hi There! Thank you so much for taking the time to view our profile and getting to know us. We are a fun-filled family living in Virginia Beach VA. John is a physician specializing in rheumatology, and Somphit is a business change manager for a health insurance company. We have a joyful 5 year old boy named Brayden, who can’t wait to be a big brother.
We feel fortunate to live in a beach community with many amenities and recreation areas. On any given weekend you can find our family playing in surf, hiking a trail, or visiting the local zoo. While we live in a wonderful community, we also are quite adventurous and love to travel to new places in the U.S. and around the world.
We met 11 years ago at a neighborhood block party in Cambridge, Massachusetts and hit it off immediately. Five years ago we became parents for the first time and it was one of the best things that happened to us. We had always wanted to have more children but were unable to biologically. Adoption was a natural option for us. Somphit has a sister and John has a cousin, who joined their families through open adoption. In both cases the families were enriched by the experience. We are fully committed to open adoption. If you choose us to parent your child, we can promise a loving environment as well as regular communication and visits. We can’t wait to bring another child into our home to love him or her to pieces.
