Home Study Assistance
Are you interested in learning more about the differences between domestic adoption and international adoption? Are you trying to sort out how to get through the first steps in this beautiful journey? Our adoption team is here to help.
We can answer all of your questions, help you complete your home study and get the necessary security clearances, connect you with legal and financial assistance, join a support group and meet other waiting parents, and create a family profile which will be placed in our database for pregnant women to review.
We offer our services to without regard to gender, marital status, sexual orientation, and financial status. We do ask that all families make the minimum commitment of exchanging letters, first names, and photos through the agency, as well as a yearly visit which can take place during our annual picnic. Although not every pregnant woman wants an open adoption, it’s important that you be open to it. We understand that open adoption can be scary, however, in the United States where 18,000 infants are adopted each year, open adoption is the most common form of child adoption.
When comparing domestic adoption to international adoption, you should know that most prospective parents are matched with their new family member in less than twelve months and the expenses are, on average, the same. However, if you determine that international adoption is the better choice for you, we can still assist you with your home study.
If you are interested in learning more about the agency, our team, and how we can help guide you through this beautiful process, contact us at our office located conveniently close to Pittsburgh and Youngwood, PA in Greensburg.
