In Allentown, there are so many great cafes to choose from, where you can get a delicious cup of coffee and possibly enjoy some live entertainment. Coffee House Without Limits
Coffee House Without Limits is much more than your average cafe. Of course, the coffee, tea, and other beverages here are top notch. But what makes Coffee House Without Limits stand out is the variety of events held here throughout the week. Unlike most coffee houses, it’s open until 10 p.m. Our Allentown adoption professionals love stopping in here for lunch (it opens at noon) or for a fun night of live music or stand-up comedy.
Hava Java
Located in the West End Theatre District, Hava Java is another coffee house open late for events like live music and open mics. However, they open at 8 a.m., so we love going here both for morning cups of coffee before heading into the office and for fun nights out in downtown Allentown. In addition to their delicious coffee options, Hava Java also offers a large selection of sweets and pastries.
Cafe Vida
Cafe Vida is an affordable coffee house open from 7 am until 3 pm. Along with excellent coffee and snacks, this cafe has a unique draw – Taco Tuesdays! What other coffeehouse lets you get an order of delicious, loaded tacos with your iced coffee? And even outside of Taco Tuesdays, their diverse food menu makes this an excellent stop for a full breakfast or lunch.
The Joint Coffee Co.
The Joint offers a variety of unbelievably flavorful housemade brews, both as single cups or as a full bag that you can take home and make in your own kitchen. We’re huge fans of the Guatemalan (Single Origin), Bourbon Barrel Coffee, and Darkness Blend. They also have some delicious food if you’re looking to stop in and sit with a meal and coffee. We highly recommend checking out the chai and avocado toast or a scone.
Mary Ann Donut Kitchen
If you’re the type to have a donut with your coffee, then Mary Ann Donut Kitchen is the spot for you. In our opinion, their housemade donuts are some of the best we’ve ever had. They’re always delicious and fresh, with both classic and creative flavors.
Some of our favorite donuts here include Cotton Candy, Strawberry Shortcake and Black Raspberry with Vanilla Icing.
