Chateau is located within Pittsburgh on the North Side near the banks of the Ohio River. The area is made up mostly of businesses and warehouses, with little to almost no one inhabiting the neighborhood. There are four borders that surround Chateau:
- Manchester located north and northeast
- Allegheny West to the northeast
- North Shore to the east
- Mashall-Shadeland to the northwest

Places To Visit
The Rivers Casino opened in the Chateau district near the Ohio River in August 2009. Chateau also houses the Carnegie Science Center and the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild.
Previously named Majestic Star Casino, Rivers Casino is a popular destination for visitors to Pittsburgh. The casino offers different types of dining and entertainment. For dining, guests can choose from five restaurants located on-site, from casual quick stops to more formal dining. For entertainment, aside from the assortment of table games and slot machines, there’s also a nightclub as well as an outdoor amphitheater that seats 1,000 guests.
The Carnegie Science Center is also a favorite amongst residents and visitors, being the most visited museum in Pittsburgh. The museum offers four floors of interactive exhibits and showcases a variety of exhibitions, displays, digital projection screenings, and a planetarium.
The Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild is an art, education, and music center that has been run by a non-profit since 1968. The courses offered at the center include digital arts, photography, ceramics, and more. Each year, there are over 500 students that apply to enroll in the organization.
