Theme- Dashing Through The Decades
Join us for the Find Their Footing 5k/Walk & Festival, a fantastic community event rallying support for AFTH’s Expecting and Birth Parents! Get ready for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and a whole lot of heart.
Everyone is invited to join in the festivities, regardless of age or connection to adoption. It’s a celebration for all!
Mark your calendars for a day of family fun and community spirit at the Adoptions From The Heart Find Their Footing 5k/Walk & Festival on April 26th, 2025, from 9 am to 2:30 pm at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA. The festival will kick off with a 5k/walk as well as a kids dash. The kids dash is free for kids 10 & under. We will have two kids dash for ages 5 & under and kids 6-10. Please register if you are interested in participating in our kids dash.
This years theme is Dashing Through The Decades in celebration of Adoptions From The Heart 40th year anniversary. Costumes are options but we encourage runners to be dressed in 80s, 90s, or 2000s themed outfits. Best dressed runner will win a special award. Runners will be running through different decades throughout the course. Runners will receive a t-shirt, medal, and swag bag for participating.
The main 5k/walk will be held at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA but we will have one other popup locations. Our other pop-up will be in located in Chesapeake, VA. You can also join the fun by doing a virtual 5k at your own pace.
After our 5k/Walk we will begin the festival celebrations with an awards ceremony, music, AFTH decades tent, kids activities, local craft vendors, food trucks, and more! We will have over 25 local craft vendors as well as 3 food trucks for people to enjoy and walk around. We will also have an award ceremony as well as speeches commemorating AFTH’s 40th year anniversary. Kids activities include crafts, connect 4, as well as other interactive activities. There will be an AFTH history museum tent with photos & pictures to share our timeless history. This will be a fun event for all members of the family!
