When springtime rolls around, our Allentown adoption professionals love taking our families out to enjoy the great weather with the variety of fun outdoor activities in the Lehigh Valley. For years, we’ve been coming to the Allentown Rose Gardens to take in the beautiful sights and smells of this magical place. If you’re looking for new ways to spend days outside with the family, we highly recommend checking this place out in the spring or summer. Here are some of our favorite aspects of the Allentown Rose Gardens:

Layout of the Allentown Rose Gardens

The rose gardens are relatively small, but gorgeous and laid out in a very pleasing way. The plots of roses and other summer flowers are surrounded by walking paths which always make for a lovely place to have a long walk. The gardens also have exercise stations, sheltered picnic pavilions, a creek, statues, and gazebos. All of these elements together combine to make the Allentown Rose Gardens one of the most beautiful parts of the city. These gardens are a great place to relax, walk your dog, jog, or take photos.

Weddings and Photoshoots at the Rose Gardens

The Allentown Rose Gardens are an extremely popular choice for special occasion photoshoots, such as for a wedding or graduation. It’s also quite common for couples to hold their actual wedding ceremony here. However, there are no reservations and these weddings are on a first-come basis. Additionally, the gardens are only suitable for small wedding parties of 25 or fewer people. But for those looking for a simple, no-frills wedding, we can’t imagine a better setting than the Allentown Rose Gardens.

Nearby Attractions

If you’ve gotten your fill of the rose gardens but want to continue spending time outdoors, we recommend taking a walk over to Cedar Beach Park. This park is attached to the rose garden and has plenty of fun activities to keep the kids occupied, including a beautiful playground, swimming pool, basketball courts, a lake, and grilling areas. The park also has an awesome trail for walkers, joggers, and mountain bikers. We love visiting both the Rose Gardens and Cedar Beach Park on the weekends during the summer.
