Pittsburgh Musical Theater is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the Pittsburgh community with professional, accessible musical theater, educating young people in the arts, and hiring and cultivating local talent.
Founded in 1990, this performing arts theater was committed to producing the highest quality of productions, showcasing some of the most talented professionals at an affordable price.
RERC
The Richard E, Rauh Conservatory was established for the sole purpose of training the most talented young artists in areas such as dance, theater, and music. The classes are designed to test skills and push boundaries of fine arts and music while developing self-confidence, the positive reinforcement of hard work, and discipline.
The programs offered by PMT, like the Comprehensive Teen Achievement Program and the Pre-College Program, have acted as pathways to Broadway, feature films, and university preparation.
Shows & Events
The performances from PMT are hosted at one of four locations around Pittsburgh. The Gargaro Theater, built-in 1915 as the St. James School, was gifted in 2015 to honor their Founding Artistic Director Kenneth V. Gargaro.
The newest venue, The West End Canopy, located on Main St. in Pittsburgh, offers a beautiful outdoor environment as of Summer 2020.
