We imagine you are dealing with a million different thoughts right now, and we’re flattered that you’ve chosen to learn more about us.
We are Ryan and Cheri. We’ve been married since 2009, and have known each other for 12 years. We would describe ourselves as loving, loyal, passionate, curious, funny, adventurous, kind, happy and hopeful people. We both come from close knit families and have four nieces and two nephews whom we absolutely adore.
Raising a family is something we’ve always known we would do, seeing in each other what a great mom and dad we know we can be. We’ve had a very challenging seven-year road to parenthood, but have never given up hope, and are honored to build our family through adoption.
We admire and respect your strength and courage in choosing an open adoption and we’re happy to follow your lead on that level of openness over the years.
Recently, we asked our niece Katie if she thought we would be “good parents.” She paused and said “No. I think you will be GREAT parents because Aunt Cheri is so responsible and Uncle Ryan is really fun. That’s the perfect combination!”
