The holiday season is the one time of year that can be both the happiest and the most challenging time for some. Each year at Adoptions From The Heart, we use this time to spread awareness about some of our support funds and services provided to our birth parents, made possible by your generous donations each year during Year-end giving. Through our programs and services, we strive to provide our clients who have placed through our agency with the resources and support they need to navigate these challenges. From counseling services to financial assistance, we work to ensure that birth parents have access to the resources they need to provide for themselves and their families.
As the holiday season approaches, many think about additional ways to give back to our communities through charitable donations, and we are no different. Our organization focuses on assisting birth parents who may be struggling or facing financial hardships all year round, but especially during the holiday season. One of our favorite ways to do so is through the generous donations of gift cards. In addition to the practical benefits, gift card donations provide a sense of community. It shows them that they are not alone and that others care about their well-being. This can be a powerful reminder during a difficult time.
Overall, a gift card drive for birth parents is a compassionate and effective way to support and assist those facing challenges during this time. It is a tangible way to show you care while making a difference in birth parents’ lives during what is supposed to be the most wonderful time of year.
Prior to the holidays, AFTH identifies women who have placed their children for adoption but are still parenting other children and are in need of financial assistance. We donate gift cards for groceries, clothing and toys for the holidays. For many, this is the only way they can do something special for their children.
AFTH will be accepting Target, Walmart, Acme, Wegmans, Giant and Visa gift cards in denominations ranging from $25 – $200 for birth mothers in need of a little extra help during the holiday season.
