Located in Allegheny County, the borough of Dormont is made up of a diverse population from families, retired individuals, and young professionals. History

Up until 1768, The Delaware and Shawnee tribes inhabited the land where Dormont stands but then was acquired by the Six Nations as a part of the Fort Stanwix deal. Over the years, Dormont was part of Cumberland County, Pitt Township, Penn Township, and St. Clair Township until 1788, when it officially became part of Allegheny County. Upon its incorporation in 1909, more than 30 different streets were renamed.

Dormont offers an assortment of amenities for residents and visitors to enjoy within the community, such as what’s known as one of the largest swimming pools in all of Pennsylvania, ranging over 60,000 square feet. There are also a couple of lush, green parks, sports complexes, basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, and tons of children’s playgrounds.
