Our agency has undergone some recent changes, and we are thrilled to share that three of our staff members have stepped into new leadership roles.
Jenna Stocks: Director of Social Services
Jenna is now AFTH’s Director of Social Services. Her new title comes with a new set of responsibilities. Jenna, never one to shy away from a challenge, not only served as Domestic Program Manager but as District Supervisor of AFTH’s Allentown and New York offices. As Executive Director Heidi Gonzalez stated, “Jenna has been doing the work of three people thanks to her fantastic oversight[..]”
Jenna’s new responsibilities will predominantly be administrative, stepping away from the day-to-day social work she had taken on as District Supervisor.
Rebekah McGee: New York Program Manager
Rebekah has fully joined our agency as New York Program Manager, where she will oversee a team of over ten adoption social work consultants in the New York region. Rebekah first joined AFTH as a part-time adoption social work consultant herself, working in the Manhattan area. Her adoption journey inspired her to become an adoption social worker when she and her husband adopted their son.
Rebekah’s experience as an adoptive parent helps her connect with prospective adoptive parents. She combines her professional and personal experience to better prepare them for what to expect during the adoption process.
Kristin Kachmar: Allentown District Supervisor
Kristin has been named District Supervisor of AFTH’s Allentown office. She first joined AFTH as an adoption social worker in October of 2017. Fast approaching her four-year anniversary, Kristin has quickly proved herself to be an invaluable team member. In January of this year, Kristin was named Expecting Parent Services Manager—a role that allows her to oversee all the comprehensive services AFTH provides to expecting parents.
For those who have worked with Kristin, her success comes as no surprise. Jenna had this to say when announcing Kristin’s promotion, “Over the past four years, Kristin has excelled in birth parent counseling and support, file upkeep, and teamwork. Her dedication to her clients and fellow team members has been one of her best attributes. Kristin was with me through many transitions in the Allentown office. During this time, she always volunteered and accepted additional responsibilities.”
We would like to give big, heartfelt congratulations to all three ladies! Our agency is excited to see what the future holds for each of them in their new roles.
