Heart-to-Heart on Women in Adoption | Adoptions From The Heart

On March 26th, Adoptions from the Heart is hosting our upcoming Heart-to-Heart Fundraiser highlighting women in adoption.

Adoptions from the Heart has hosted many Heart-to-Heart fundraising events, with themes ranging from mental health awareness to LGBTQ+ adoption. This March, in honor of National Women’s Month, we are hosting a Heart-to-Heart with a group of wonderful women who have made a huge impact in the adoption community.

Meet our Guest Speakers

We will be having five wonderful guest speakers at the event this March. Our speakers cover all the pieces involved in the adoption triad, adoptive parent, birth parent, and adoptee. Heart-to-Heart is happy to present our five guest speakers: Maxine Chalker, Roslyn Davis, Terry Crossan, Se’Ayra Greene, and Becky Fawcett.

Maxine Chalker is the Founder of Adoptions from the Heart and an adoptee herself.

Rosyln Davis is also an adoptee and the author of the children’s book, “I Am Precious, I Am Loved”.

Terry Crossan is an Adoptive Parent and a co-founder of the thrift shop Heart and Soul’d.

Se’Ayra Greene is a Birth Mother and a member of the AFTH board.

Becky Fawcett is an Adoptive Parent and the Founder of HelpUsAdopt.org, a national grant program.

Topics for this Heart-to-Heart

In honor of March being Women’s History Month, this Heart-to-Heart Event we will be hearing from women who have done incredible things in their communities and are closely connected to adoption. They will be sharing their stories and what inspired them to do the work that they do today. We will be hearing about how these amazing women have impacted their communities and everything they do for the people around them. The event will be covering topics such as being a woman in business, being a woman in the world of adoption, and the importance of the connections and relationships you have within an adoption community.

Raising Money for AFTH

The Heart-to-Heart virtual event is FREE to attend. Any donations raised before or during the event will be going towards AFTH programs and services, as well as our Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund. You can buy raffle tickets to win a $50 Amazon gift card! $5 for 1 raffle ticket and $20 for 5 raffle tickets. When you register for the event, you can also donate and get raffle tickets, or you can donate and get raffle tickets during the event. Help us reach our donation goal of $500. Any amount of donation goes a long way!
