Whether it’s traveling to visit venue locations, planning the 5k, or collecting donations it feels great leaving the office at the end of the day knowing that our hard work is helping raise funds and awareness for such a great cause.” – Denna
“My favorite part of being a social worker with AFTH is being at the pre-placement meeting when the adoptive family meets the birth family for the first time. Everyone is so incredibly nervous at first and then you can feel the environment change as the time passes and everyone gets more comfortable with each other. The range of emotions that occur at these meetings are wonderful and it is all so exciting for me to be a part of!” – Hannah
“I was drawn to AFTH after learning that the agency strives to educate and empower birth parents in every way when considering unique adoption plans. I appreciate that birth parents have the opportunity to express their hopes for the future of their child, and are able to engage in lifetime relationships with the adoptive family. Providing a safe space for birth parents to make these decisions during such emotional times has been extremely rewarding. I feel grateful to be part of such a humbling and selfless experience.” – Samantha
