Doctor Seuss once wrote, “A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
This describes perfectly the dads we both want to be. It’s so important to treat children, not as objects, but as people — people who can share their experience with us, and us with them.
Our goal as parents is to care for and fiercely love a child through their entire life, not just the few years during which they are dependent on us. This love and support comes from many corners of the child’s life — us, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, teachers — together.
Deciding to adopt has been a careful decision, and we hope you will join us in this commitment, if you choose to place your child with us.
We both deeply value the open adoption process and are committed to sharing the growth of this child with you.
More than anything else, we want this child to know that they are loved. And that the decisions we make, the decisions you make, come from a place of love. We want this child to grow up confident and happy, knowing who they are and where they came from.
We honor the relationship started right here, as you make this decision. We recognize how difficult this process is. And how much is at stake. No matter what you decide, we thank you for considering us, and wish all the best for you.
