Adoptions From The Heart Annual Family Picnic
Bringing together families of adoption and celebrating the brave men, women, and children
who have been touched by adoption from all sides at our Annual Family Picnic
Wynnewood, PA—Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH), as part of its lifelong commitment to building beautiful families, invites you to participate in one of our favorite events; our Annual Family Picnic. The picnic will be held on June 18, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fort Washington Park in Flourtown, Pennsylvania. At the picnic, families will have the opportunity to visit with birth parents, other families, and members of the AFTH team, including Executive Director, Maxine Chalker.
Chalker shared, “This is where you see the real people we serve every day. The mothers and fathers who have grieved the loss of their child to give them a better life, singles and couples yearning to build and grow their families in a very special way, and the children who need our support and make everyday worth it.” This event, currently in its 28th year, is where we come together to have a day of fun, bring together all types of families, raise funds for the Birthmother Fund, and build awareness and support for all those touched by adoption.
The picnic is a free event that features family fun activities such as face painting, raffle baskets, a craft table, outdoor games, live music, and of course, a lot of food. We are excited to add three food trucks to our event this year! Children will receive a complimentary ice cream from Jack & Jill Ice Cream truck. Break Time Mobile Kitchen and Chef Donte’s Delicious Dishes will also be in attendance and have decided to donate between 10 and 25% of their proceeds back to the AFTH Birthmother Fund.
