Calling All Super Heroes

Spring has sprung, and what better way to celebrate the new season, than to join Adoptions From The Heart for our 6^th Annual Find Her Footing 5k on Sunday, April, 15th.

Take your mark and get ready for a day full of exciting fitness and fundraising, all for a worthy cause. Run and tell you family and friends to join in the fun, while showing support for AFTH’s Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund.

The Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund provides aid to birth parents experiencing financial hardship, before and after placement. The fund helps men and women, obtain fundamental needs, such as food – safe and permanent housing – clothing, etc. Our services also include comprehensive counseling and support groups – to help uplift and empower birth parents to reach their full potential.

The race is great for runners (or walkers) of any level. Grab your capes, because the 1 Mile Super Hero Fun Run will be returning for another year. The superhero themed run pays homage to Clark Kent; better known as Superman and his adoption story. Participants can dress up as their favorite superhero and run (or soar) their way through the course. But don’t worry, superhero costumes are not limited to the Super Hero Fun Run, everyone can get in on the fun. And we can’t forget about our little heroes! There will be a Kid’s Dash just for our tiny warriors – so they can fearlessly soar their way to super-duper awards!

For those who are unable to attend in the 5K, there are other ways to show support, by donating to the “No Sweat” club.

5k Walk/Super Fun Run: 10:00 am

We are thrilled to welcome back local radio station, Today’s 96.5. There will also be giveaways, a moon bounce for children, and raffles, that include prizes from Bryn Mawr Running Company, Soul Cycle, Bertucci’s, Philadelphia Magic Gardens and much more.
