November is National Adoption Month. Since at Adoptions From The Heart we celebrate the adoption community each and every day, we have a special way to celebrate adoption during the month of November. Leading up to National Adoption Month, we encourage local businesses to join the Paper Heart Project.
The Paper Heart Project
The Paper Heart Project is a way to spread adoption awareness in the community, support pregnant women in need and celebrate the beautiful families adoption creates. Local businesses and community members can show their support by asking customers or members to donate $1 for a paper heart that will be displayed to spread adoption awareness. All proceeds will be donated to AFTH’s Birthmother Fund which supports women choosing to place their children for adoption; in their education, counseling, medical care and guidance, living essentials or other special needs.
How to Be a Part of the Project
Register your small business, organization, classroom, school, church, or small group to be a part of the Project. Register online or contact AFTH for a copy of registration to be sent your way! In order to register you will need a contact person, phone/email, and a number of requested paper hearts.
Step 1: Register

**E-mail us a logo & link to your website for promotion. Hearts will be mailed to you by the end of October.
Step 2: Promote the Project
Promote your support of National Adoption Month & AFTH through any way that you can. Contact us for any additional signage or promotional ideas. To thank you for your support, AFTH will promote your business through afth.org, Facebook, Twitter, our newsletter, and any press generated by the Paper Heart Project.
Step 3: Accept Donations
Request $1 donation per heart. Donors may write their name on a heart to show support for our cause. Please use a system of your choice for recording and collecting donations. Display the paper hearts any where you would like! Donations should be collected November 1st- 30th.
Step 4: Return Donations
We ask that all donations be sent by cash or check, along with any unused hearts by return date. Please be aware that all final donations will be recognized and promoted within first weeks of December. Don’t forget to send us some pictures! Return Date: Friday, December 5th, 2015

Are you not part of a supporting organization but want to participate individually? Visit one of the participating organizations listed below. You are now able to make a online donations for a heart to be displayed inside one of AFTH’s branch offices throughout National Adoption Month. Hearts can be donated for $1 each. When donating online please indicate which AFTH office you would like your Paper Heart to be displayed in. Branch locations are listed on the left-hand side.
