The borough of Edgewood is located in Allegheny County next to the city of Pittsburgh with a small population of about 3,000 residents according to the census of 2010. Wilkinsburg is to the north, Braddock Hills is to the east and southeast, Swissvale is to the south and west, and the Regent Square area of Pittsburgh is to the northwest.
History
Edgewood was established in the 1800s and was incorporated on December 1, 1888. The area is known for a variety of historical landmarks including but not limited to:
- First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood
- Edgewood Community House; home to the CC Mellor Memorial Library and Edgewood Club
- Memorial Park
- Koenig Community Field and Field House

As mentioned above, the 2010 census stated that the population of the neighborhood was about 3,118 residents and the racial diversity includes:

- 0.3% American Indian or Alaska Native
- 2.7% Hispanic or Latino
- 0.6% other races
- 2.1% more than 2 races
There are no statistics on the median household income for 2010 but we do have the stats for 2000. So for the United States census of 2000, the median household income was about $52,153 and the median family household income was slightly more at $68,281.
