On February 17, 2022, one of the ways Adoptions From The Heart is celebrating ‘Adoption is Love’ is with our Heart-to-Heart with Birth Fathers fundraising event. At AFTH, we acknowledge that Birth Fathers don’t always get the kinds of recognition and spaces needed to feel comfortable sharing their adoption stories. Birth fathers are amongst the most underrepresented parties in the adoption community. AFTH wants to do its part in changing the reality of that. In doing so, we understand that the impact of showing birth father voices is much grander than just telling a story. It’s the start of an evolution in the ways birth fathers are seen and heard in the triad; showing them and others that it’s okay to speak out or come forward with their truths.

This event is going to be extra special. Our discussion will be jam-packed with stories and events from birth fathers themselves. We will be discussing the transformations of birth father participation over the years, services provided to birth fathers at Adoptions From heart, and why it’s so important to have these safe spaces.

This Heart-To-Heart with Birth Fathers fundraising event is not solely open to fellow birth fathers, members of the adoption triad, and professionals. This live conversation is open to anyone with the slightest ties to the adoption community or who simply wants to hear new stories, learn more about what we do, the placement process, or show support.

It is encouraged that everyone joins in on this discussion. This is a FREE event. Be sure to spread the word to family, friends, or anyone else you feel could benefit from hearing Birth Father stories! As always, all donation proceeds from this event will go directly to AFTH’s program and services to keep providing resources for ALL our clients.
