No matter which part of the city you’re in, you’re probably close to a local shop with house-brewed blends of a variety of delicious coffees and teas. Our Philadelphia adoption agents grab coffee during just about every workday. Some of our favorite shops in the city include:
Located in Old City, Menagerie Coffee offers a variety of full-bodied coffees from Dogwood Coffee, Ceremony Coffee, and others. They also have a food menu that makes it a great stop for both breakfast and lunch.

River Wards Cafe
This cafe is slightly off the beaten path in Port Richmond but is one of our favorite options in the River Wards section of the city. It’s even worth it to travel here for a cup on the weekend if you’re just looking to relax at the shop for an hour or two. They have a full drink menu with just about every coffee drink you could imagine, along with donuts and other pastries.
La Colombe Coffee
La Colombe is a chain with four locations in Philadelphia and several others in New York, Boston, California, Chicago, and Washington D.C. Their coffee is one of our favorites to brew at home and we also like stopping by the shop for a quick cup. Some other coffee shops in the city use their brews, and we think they have some of the best blends in this region.
