Adoptions From The Heart's 2nd Annual Share Your Heart Benefit Concert

Adoptions From The Heart makes its way back to the Manayunk Brewing Company this year to kick off National Adoption Month. On Thursday, November 8^th from 7-11pm, we will hold our 2^nd Annual Share Your Heart Benefit Concert. Attendees will enjoy a night of live music, food, drinks, and fabulous raffle prizes. Tickets are $20, and include one free drink, entry, and food. The Early Bird special will end on Friday, October 26^th at midnight. With the code EARLYBIRD at checkout, buyers will receive $5 off their tickets. Tickets can be purchased here.

2017 Share Your Heart Benefit Concert attendees

All proceeds from the night will benefit AFTH’s Birth Parent Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to birth parents looking to pursue a degree in higher education. Since its inception in 2014, the fund has helped 19 birth parents and is not limited to AFTH birth parents. Any birth parent whose child was placed after 1985 is eligible. This year, we are excited to welcome two local bands. Previously known as Under This Fire, the Barker Brothers will be making their debut as a brother duo comprised of Colin and Justin Barker. Residing in Philadelphia, Colin and Justin started playing music from an early age. The brothers describe their music as Folk Rock with some Indie flare. Their recent shows have included The Grape Room in Manayunk and Garlic Fest in Easton, PA. If you would like to learn more about the band, or listen to their new music, check out their Facebook page. We are excited to have the boys back again this year.

The Barker Brothers

Additionally, we are welcoming a new band to the set: haha charade! As Wilmington, DE natives, haha charade made their start as Eleanor and the Roosevelts playing covers. The members of the band are Matt Bowe, Alex Wade, Brendan McBride, and Justin Lefler, and label themselves as an Alternative Rock band. In fact, they just released their new single “We Are the Wolves” on Apple Music and Spotify on Tuesday, October 9^th. Their most recent shows have included Crabby Dick’s in Delaware City and the Ministry of Caring’s Crab Fest in September. In addition to live music, we will be holding raffles at the event, which include many Philly favorites. Some prizes include an autographed hockey puck from the Philadelphia Flyers, tickets to a Philadelphia Union game, tickets to various theater performances, a gift card to Painting with a Twist, and various restaurant gift cards from around the area. Raffle tickets will be $5 or 5 for $20.
