2022 brought along so many exciting new chapters for Adoptions From The Heart. To name a few, in just one year, we’ve:
- Launched New Education Webinars
- Established New Workshops and Support Groups for our clients
- Made new relationships with influencers and professionals
- Featured extraordinary guests on AFTHtv and A Heart-To-Heart Podcast
- And so much more!
Last year was nothing short of amazing, so today we are going to recap the 5 Most memorable things that took place at or within Adoptions From The Heart in 2022! Let’s dive in :)
1. Launch of our OnDemand Webinars
At the brink of 2022, Adoptions From The Heart released our very first batch of on-demand webinars. Through these webinars, our clients, prospective families, friends, and adoption community members can take courses to continue education for open adoption and even earn credits toward certifications. Since the start, we’ve released more webinars that are currently available for enrollment, with hopes that they will continue to allow families not only to learn but refresh what they learn years down the line. These webinars are made with each and every one of our clients in mind.
2. Adoptions From The Heart’s Annual Picnic
This past spring was Adoptions From The Heart’s first in-person family picnic since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. The turnout was terrific, as we featured a live DJ, fun arts and crafts, games, food, and delicious ice cream. We were excited to reunite the adoption community for such a fun day. Our family picnics always seem to put such big smiles on our families’ faces, and we hope to be able to continue to do this for years to come.
3. Heart To Heart With Adoption Influencers
In honor of national adoption month this past November, Adoptions From The Heart thought it would be great to host our heart-to-heart virtual event featuring adoption influencers for the first time. It became evident to us that in today’s
time, many triad members were finding their voices through social media platforms. As we began to take a deeper look into our own relationships and connections with triad members through media platforms, we decided that maybe it was time for us to bring them together to have one discussion about what they experience on their platforms each day in terms of spreading awareness, debunking, misconceptions, and more. This event turned out amazing, and if you missed it, it is now available on all podcast streaming platforms for you to go back and listen to on apple podcasts, Spotify, or other media you listen to your podcasts!
4. Birth Parent Workshops with Life Coach, Jenn Oglesbee
In an effort to continue birth parent support, Adoptions From The Heart partnered with our friend and life coach, Jenn Oglesbee, this past year to bring you workshops that promote growth, love, and healing throughout the adoption process. We do not deny that adoption is hard (for lack of a better term) and can sometimes be a traumatic experience. This is why we do our best to hear our clients and create spaces where voices can be heard, pain can be worked through, and positive relationships can be built. Our goal is to shine love, light, and support. Thanks to Jenn providing workshops like these, we can do just that.
5. Home For The Holidays ft Miss Delaware 2022 and The Deleware Office
In December last year, Adoptions From The Heart partnered with Grace Otley, Miss Delaware 2022, for an extraordinary ‘Home For The Holidays’ Christmas fundraiser. This holiday fundraiser was filled with amazing people, great food, games, music, Santa, holiday characters, and a fantastic panel of adoptive and birth parents to discuss their experiences in their adoption journeys. This event was the first of its kind and hopefully not the last. We raised money for the birth parent support fund to continue providing support services to our clients. This night was honestly one to remember.
All in all, last year was terrific, but Adoptions From the Heart only hopes to achieve bigger and better for you all in the new year! Our goal will always be to continue striving for bigger and better while remaining humble and so very appreciative of the support, the community, and our adoptive families and prospective clients.
