Adoptions From The Heart is constantly striving to do its part in supporting the adoption community. Aside from assisting birth parents in placement and emotionally during their placement process, AFTH understands that everything isn’t always as black and white as it seems. Sometimes hard times fall upon us and simple acts of kindness are all that are needed to keep you feeling positive and afloat.
As an agency, we take pride in being more than just another adoption agency. We aim to be a resource center for those who need a little direction, financial assistance, or those just seeking answers.
Each year, Adoptions From the Heart raises money in support of our Expectant and Birth Parents called ‘The Expectant and Birth Parent Fund’. AFTH deemed it necessary to place both titles because we assist expectant and birth mothers and fathers, no matter the stage of their placement process. Fundraisers and donations from our amazing community, family, and friends allow us to be of financial assistance to those in need. And, with the holidays approaching, we are asking YOU for help this time around with our Year-End Giving.

Expectant and Birth Parent Fund
Adoptions From The Heart has put an Expectant and Birth Parents Fund in place to be of financial assistance to expectant and birth parents of the
agency. We understand that there are ample amounts of reasons people choose adoption over parenting and our goal has always been to make that process less stressful than it already is.
During difficult times or under tough circumstances, we know that a little financial relief can make a huge difference, especially during the holiday season. We have seen the difference this fund makes in propelling families into a better place with ongoing stability. This fund has helped expectant and birthparents escape domestic abuse environments, those who have been kicked out by family for choosing adoption, those who are uncleared to return to work, those who are parenting other children and are struggling to make ends meet, those who’ve lost their jobs and so much more. Your donation to the AFTH Expecting and Birthparent Fund could be a life-changing contribution.
Gift Card Drive
Prior to the holidays, Adoptions From The Heart identifies women who have placed their children for adoption but are still parenting other children and are in need of financial assistance. We donate gift cards for groceries, clothing, and toys for the holidays. For many, this is the only way they can do something special for their children. This is a fundraiser that happens year-round in preparation for the holiday season.
Adoptions From The Heart accepts Target, Walmart, Acme, Wegmans, Giant, and Visa gift cards in denominations ranging from $25 – $200 for birth mothers in need of a little extra help during the holiday season.

Calendar
2022 Calendar sales benefit the AFTH Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund. The fund is put to use for situations when financial support is needed during the process to help secure basic needs.
Each year, Adoptions From The Heart releases a new feature calendar, consisting of photos of adoptees who have been placed through our agency at one point or another! This year’s ‘2022 Building Beautiful Families Calendar’ is now available, with all proceeds also going into the expectant and Birth Parent Support Fund. The AFTH calendar is a fun and decorative way to show support to the adoption community, all the while making a huge difference in their lives.
Birth Parent Scholarship
AFTH’s Birth Parent Scholarship is a fund that is set up to assist birth parents in continuing their education. Our goal is to help birth parents get on their feet and establish a career. Scholarships can be used for undergraduate studies or for graduate studies at a university. Nonetheless, other trade programs are also eligible, such as:
- Dental hygienist
- Plumber
- Paralegal
- Nurse
- Graphic Designer
- Welder
- Computer technician
- Aircraft mechanic
- Cosmetologist
- Chef
- Electrician, etc.
