Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH) is hosting our second Heart-to-Heart with Birth Parents event hosted by Adoption Counselor and Post-placement Services Manager, Amanda Aliberti and Birth Mother, SeAyra. Our event will feature a panel of birth mothers who have placed their children for adoption through our agency. Each birth parent will share their unique, touching stories about why they chose adoption and their journey since placement.
Our live panel event will take place on August 25, 2021, from 7:00-8:30 PM EDT via Zoom. Our event is open to the public, and anyone interested in adoption is welcome to join! Interested event-goers can register on our Heart-to-Heart event website. Once registered, you will receive an email with the Zoom link for the virtual event. Heart-to-Heart with Birth Parents is a free event, but donations are welcomed. Each donation funds our programs and services dedicated to supporting AFTH expecting and birth parents as well as adoptive parents and adoptees. Join the event and see the difference your generosity makes in our birth parents’ lives.
As a bonus, we are hosting a 50/50 raffle where two winners will be chosen and announced during the event! One winner will be one of the birth parent speakers, and the second winner will be one of our registered attendees. Raffle tickets cost $5 each.
We are excited to host this event for a second time after the success of the first Heart-to-Heart with Birth Parents. Our first panel took place in February, where viewers heard from several birth mothers and fathers alike, sharing their personal experiences with adoption. Each parent brought a unique perspective to the conversation. Topics of discussion ranged from battling addiction during pregnancy to grief and moving forward after placement to the support they received from AFTH. Our speakers were glad to take questions and comments from the audience. This particular panel is just one of many ways our agency provides a platform to amplify birth parent voices and de-stigmatize adoption.
