Although Adoptions From The Heart provides options services, approaching the agency is often out of the question for some. Whether it be fear or uncertainty, we understand that only some are ready to approach open adoption in the literal sense. Understanding that, we have compiled a list of ways to learn more about open adoption.
Mainstream Media
In the last few years, AFTH has produced a web series and an adoption podcast to provide a platform for clients to learn about open adoption through storytelling and personal experiences. These spaces are the perfect way for anyone to learn about the adoption world without having ties to an agency. Many listeners and viewers today are prospective families just wanting to learn more about adoption. Our is to provide a space for people to share honest, raw, and real stories about their adoption.
Events and Webinars
Every four months, Adoptions From The Heart hosts a virtual event where we highlight different members of the adoption community. At these events, clients and prospective clients get to join in on the discussion. They get to ask questions in real-time about open adoption and what to expect in their adoption journey. It is not a way to lock prospective clients in. It is an opportunity to ask the questions they desire before ever speaking to the agency. We also launched Online Webinars so that clients, families, and extended families never have to memorize what they learn about the adoption process again.
Social Media
Our social media platforms have become a place to share stories, upcoming events, adoption news, recent episode releases, and more. Through social media, clients and prospective clients can communicate with us and one another through comments and sharing. This is a more direct way to learn about adoption than just reading a blog or watching a video. It allows for a more lax approach to the adoption world and what it is.

Adoption Blogs
Adoption blogs are an excellent way to get in-depth stories and detailed adoption experiences straight from the agency and, at times, the clients we serve. Through afth.org, you can browse our adoption catalog at your leisure and continuously educate yourself before ever having come into contact with the agency.
E-newsletter
The Adoptions From The Heart newsletter provides the latest releases, and adoption news, keeping families updated on legislation, studies, and special AFTH projects. It is one thing to stay connected with Adoptions from the Heart through streaming episodes, blogs, and social media. However, we also understand the importance of sharing all adoption news, not just those of “butterflies and rainbows.”
All these suggestions are great ways to learn about open adoption and the services provided through Adoptions From The Heart. However, the best way to get unbiased, in-depth, and judgment-free information is by calling to speak with one of our adoption counselors at 800-355-5500. Our counselors can walk you through the necessary stages of placement or parenting options and adoption planning.
