Adoptions From The Heart celebrates 35 years of serving the community

(Wynnewood, PA) –Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH), a nonprofit open adoption agency, is celebrating 35 years since its founding in 1985 with a live celebration and raffle on November 18, 2020, from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm. This virtual event will take place via Zoom and is free for anyone to join. Participants will have the option to donate to AFTH at different levels.
This festive hour will be hosted by Adoption Counselor and AFTHtv’s very own Amanda Aliberti. Participants will also hear from guest speakers before the raffle drawing. AFTH’s President and Founder, Maxine Chalker, will speak about the agency’s history with Roberta Evantash, a longtime social worker at the agency and former International Adoption Coordinator. Executive Director, Heidi Gonzalez, will discuss the work AFTH currently does as well as the agency’s plans for the future.
On November 8, AFTH will begin the raffle with four baskets worth over $300. Some of the prizes include a four-night stay at the Manhattan Club Hotel in New York City, a zip lining adventure for two at Philadelphia TreeTop Quest, and more. This raffle will be open to event participants as well as AFTH’s Facebook and Instagram followers. Each hopeful participant can purchase a single ticket at $5 or five tickets at $20. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to AFTH, contributing to the agency’s Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund. The fund provides financial assistance to expecting and birth parents in need. The funds help parents cover basic expenses such as grocery bills, rent, gas money, etc. The raffle winners will be drawn and announced during the live event.
The 35th-year celebration is of special importance as the anniversary coincides with National Adoption Month in November.
