Adoptions From The Heart is making a strong effort to get more involved within the local communities nearby our offices. While our agency takes pride in educating our AFTH families on their rights and options, we want our community members to be aware of our knowledge as well, regardless of having a personal connection to adoption.

We wanted to begin by planning events that would attract our AFTH families while bringing in local community members.

Coffee For A Cause

This past October, we hosted a Coffee For A Cause Fundraising Event where we partnered with a local Havertown favorite, House Cup Coffee Roasters. House Cup Coffee Roasters allowed us to use their cafe located in the heart of Havertown to invite AFTH families, friends, and staff to come and learn more about our agency while showing support to a small local business. House Cup Coffee Roasters provided our guests with house-made drinks and delicious pastries while creating a space to allow our AFTH team to promote the hard work of our agency. House Cup Coffee Roasters was generous in providing us with 10% of all sales generated throughout our event on top of a $150.00 donation. Our Coffee For A Cause Fundraising Event had a great turnout and helped us build a bond with a local small business that we plan to continue to grow, all while being more active in the community. 

Kendra Scott X Adoptions From The Heart Shop & Sip

This past Saturday, November 11, we partnered with Kendra Scott Ardmore for a Kendra Scott X Adoptions From The Heart Shop & Sip Fundraising Event. Kendra Scott has a Kendra Gives Back program which is a community-based program that allows community members to host in-store, hybrid, or online events for certain organizations and causes. During this event, attendees were able to shop around the store while enjoying light drinks and delicious desserts. 20% of all profit during 12-2pm was donated back to our agency. Kendra Scott also allowed us to have an online code that our families could use to shop online, which was active for 48 hours, to participate in our fundraising event, without needing to be in-person to shop. We had a great turnout and loved being able to partner with a popular brand who prioritizes giving back to the community.
