The Cherry Hill Public Library (CHPL) isn’t just a great place to find your next summer read. Almost every day, CHPL hosts another great event, designed to empower young minds and instill a life-long appreciation of reading and the arts.
Their “Little Listeners” series encourages young children to develop their language skills through “short stories, songs, rhymes, movement and a simple craft.” For older kids, there’s a Lego club, “Lunch and a Movie,” and even a creative writing group!

Garden State Discovery Museum
Designed specifically for children, the Garden State Discovery Museum features numerous interactive exhibits, an outdoor play area, and even a theater!
The museum’s Dinosauriam allows kids to take part in New Jersey’s history of dinosaur discoveries. The first dino was discovered nearby, in Haddonfield, and now children can dig up their own fossils at the Garden State Discovery Museum.
In the Museum’s Wildlife Area, kids can get up close with some of the world’s most fascinating animals. There’s even a bug tunnel for adventurous children to come face-to-face with creepy crawlies!
