Rain or shine Adoptions From The Heart came out in full swing for our annual Find Their Footing 5k on May 7th. The cause was a noble one with the intent to raise funds to help men and women struggling financially before, during, and after placing their child for adoption. Expectant and Birth parents have unique stories and face unique challenges. No one’s struggle is more or less important and all needs, big or small, deserve help and support. A little financial relief from difficult circumstances can make a huge difference and AFTH has seen it propel our families into a better place with ongoing stability. Thanks to agency-wide fundraisers like our Find Their Footing 5k, we’ve been able to assist and continuously stand beside these individuals in some of the most important moments of their lives.
2022 Find Their Footing 5K Recap
This year’s Find Their Footing 5k was held virtually and in person, to award everyone an opportunity to join in on the festivities. For the in-person run, friends, families and loved ones were able to gather in Newport News, VA, and Philadelphia, PA to support the cause and virtually, we were accompanied by families all along the east coast.
We are happy to announce that, thanks to our amazing, supportive community, we were able to raise $3,206.24 for the Expecting and Birth Parent Support Fund! To everyone who participated from Newport, VA all the way to Philadelphia, who came out and ran in person or participated virtually, we thank you for showing so much love and support. We also want to give a special shout-out to the participants who donated through our “NOSWEAT” texting donation site which you can still do by texting NOSWEAT to 44321 or by visiting the website listed below.
