Getting together with friends and family looks a little different during a pandemic. While concerts and fall festivals have been postponed there are still plenty of fall activities the triad can do together. You can still participate in some classic fall pastimes with good company by following a few simple guidelines. Here are some safe ways adoptive parents, birth parents, and adoptees can celebrate the season while showing respect for their loved ones health.

Apple Picking

Farms will have policies in place such as wearing masks, washing hands, and using bags supplied by the farm.

Pumpkin Picking

It is possible to social distance at a pumpkin patch. Many pumpkin patches now have handwashing stations and hand sanitizer dispensers located throughout the grounds.

Bonfires

Everyone can sit spaced out around the bonfire. The triad can catch up, tell ghost stories, sing campfire songs, and take turns toasting marshmallows. Just remind everyone to wear a mask unless they are eating of course.

Have a Picnic in the Park

Get together for a picnic in the park surrounded by nature and colorful fall foliage. Everyone will sit spaced out and wear masks unless they are eating.

Carving Pumpkins

The masked up triad could come together at a park or go to one of their houses to carve pumpkins outside at a healthy distance. Everyone will get together and show their creativity while getting into the Halloween spirit.
